Servicing & Maintenance
For many years we have had a service and maintenance department and provided a planned annual maintenance scheme for all LPG, Gas and Oil Appliances.
As part of our planned annual maintenance scheme we send our customers a letter proposing a date and time for our engineer to visit to service their appliances and ask them to confirm either by telephone, email or post. This has worked very well for many years and some of our customers have been using our scheme for over 25 years. Some of our customers are now the third generation and still having us carry out work.
Our service engineers offer a full and comprehensive service and carry the latest in diagnostic equipment to ensure that your gas or oil appliance is operating at maximum efficiency. Our engineers are Gas Safe & OFTEC registered and are able to work with all leading types of boilers.
We are fully insured and all work undertaken, no matter how small, will carry a part & labour guarantee to give you peace of mind. In the last 12 months we have heavily invested in our service department by buying an increased stock of spare parts for the most popular appliances.
Our service engineers carry a vast stock of spare parts on the vans where we aim to diagnose and repair 90% of boilers in just one visit. We deal direct with many of the major manufacturers to source spare parts quickly and at the best possible price. s we are Worcester Bosch accredited we are able to attend all our own warranty work which enables us to give our customers the very best service. This stock is constantly updated by Worcester Bosch.
With each service visit a Gas Safety Certificate is completed and provided to the customer. A copy is also kept in our files in the office.

Landlords
In 1996 the government passed a law that requires all landlords, who rent either part or all of a property, to have all household gas appliances and pipes checked every 12 months with a Landlord gas safety certificate to this effect.
What does a Landlord Gas Safety Inspection include?
- Check appliance for gas tightness
- Check standing and working pressures if test points are available
- Check burner pressure/gas rate against manufacturers guidelines
- Check for satisfactory provision of all necessary ventilation
- Test flue flow to ensure removal of products of combustion
- Check satisfactory operation of all the flame failure devices
- Check for physical stability, presence and effectiveness of stability brackets (where appropriate)
- Investigate any evidence on unsafe operation and report to the person responsible
We believe we provide a more comprehensive service for landlords by liaising with tenants directly and organising appointments to suit.
We ensure that deadlines are kept so that all certificates and tests are carried out before the existing certificate date expires.
We keep copies of all certificates to help with records for Landlords. In many cases Landlords of multiple properties give us the go ahead to carry out work up to an agreed price without consultation so that their tenants are never without heat or hot water in the winter.
For the landlords that live abroad or a distance away, we also help out with property maintenance and other issues if required.
